Congratulations to this month’s Fly High Award recipients: Mrs. Lundberg, AMS Counselor, and Mr. Rick Volkman, Head Mechanic. The Fly High Award recognizes employees who go above and beyond in their dedication and service to students, staff, and the district.  

Mrs. Lundberg, AMS Counselor, is nominated for the Fly High Award in recognition of her outstanding contributions to AMS. She demonstrates deep care for students and serves as a strong advocate for their success each day. She proactively contacts families to develop attendance success plans and supports students who are behind on assignments Mrs. Lundberg is an invaluable member of the AMS team, consistently supporting students, staff, and families with dedication and compassion.

As the district’s Head Mechanic, Rick Volkman ensures the fleet is consistently well-maintained and running safely and efficiently. He also goes above and beyond by stepping in to drive routes or cover trips when driver shortages occur. His dedication helps keep students and staff safe on the roads every day, and his dependability is sincerely appreciated.
