Augusta High School Welcomes New Principal for 2026-2027

Augusta Public Schools is pleased to announce that Mr. Corey Gabbert has accepted the position of principal at Augusta High School beginning with the 2026-27 school year.
Mr. Gabbert brings more than 25 years of experience in education and a strong background in building-level leadership. Throughout his career, he has served in a variety of roles that have prepared him to lead a comprehensive high school, including assistant principal positions at Wichita South High School, Wichita Southeast High School, Derby High School, and Rose Hill Middle School, where he also served as athletic director.
In his leadership roles, Mr. Gabbert has developed extensive experience in areas such as student support systems, MTSS implementation, school operations, graduation planning, and alternative education programming. Mr. Gabbert holds a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education from Kansas State University, a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science in School Leadership both from Baker University.
