A Message from Superintendent Leslianne Craft

Dear Students, Families, Staff, and Community Members:

It is with great excitement and humility that I join USD 402 as your new Superintendent of Schools. I am honored to have the opportunity to serve this incredible community and to work alongside dedicated educators, supportive families, engaged students, and valued community partners.  

Education has the power to transform lives, and I believe that our schools thrive when we work together with a shared commitment to student success. My goal is to build upon the district’s strengths while listening carefully to the voices of those who know our schools best. I value open communication, collaboration, transparency, and a relentless focus on ensuring every student has the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed.

As I begin this journey, one of my highest priorities is getting to know our district.  Over the coming months, I look forward to visiting every school, meeting with staff, students, and families, and community members, and learning about the traditions, accomplishments, and aspirations that make our district unique. I want to hear about what we are doing well, where we can improve, and what dreams you have for the future of our schools.  

I believe strong schools are built on strong relationships. Whether you are a student eager to learn, a parent supporting your child’s education, a staff member dedicated to serving students, or a community member investing in our future, your voice matters. I encourage you to stay engaged, ask questions, share your ideas, and join us as we shape the next chapter of our district’s story.  

Thank you for the warm welcome you have already extended to me. I am excited to become part of this wonderful community and look forward to working together to provide every student with an exceptional educational experience.
