Enrollment Information for Students

Determining In/Out of District

Do I live in Augusta Public Schools USD 402 district?

School district boundaries can be confusing at times, especially if this is the first time you are enrolling your child(ren).  Unsure of the school district you reside in?  Search for your school district based on your home address with KSDE School District Lookup Tool

If you do not live in the Auguata Public Schools district but are interested in attending Augusta Public Schools please refer to the Out of District information in the drop down menu below. 

 

 

Enrollment Information for Students New to the District
(Living In District)

    1. If your student is entering a Preschool Program (3 and 4 year olds), Augusta offers two options, which have different critieria. 1. Please visit the Full Day Preschool page for the criteria for this program. 2. Special Education Program which is through Butler County Interlocal.
    2. If your student is in PreK – 12th grade complete the New Student Enrollment Information Form. If you have more than one student, you will need to complete the form for each student. PreK students must be accepted into program. If program is full, PreK students will be placed on a waiting list.
    3. There is a 24 hour waiting period for you to be able to enroll your student. You will recieve an email letting you know that you can go in and enroll your student on PowerSchool. During Online Enrollment, you will be able to upload birth certificate, health asssement, immunization records. These items are required for all new students entering our district. If you are not able to upload these documents, they will need to be turned into the school office before your student starts school. 
    4. USD 402 will follow the Open Enrollment Guidelines established by the Augusta USD 402 Board of Education for placement of elementary students.
    5. You will receive an email when it is time to fill out the Online Enrollment Form for each student.

  • NEW STUDENTS LIVING OUT OF DISTRICT:

    1. Families requesting admittance of Out-of-District student(s) into Augusta USD 402 must fill out an Application for Out-of-District Student Status for each student. 
    2. You will be contacted by Augusta USD 402 with either an approval or a denial. If approved, you will need to fill out the New Student Enrollment Information Form.
    3. There is a 24 hour waiting period for you to be able to enroll your student. You will recieve an email letting you know that you can go in and enroll your student on PowerSchool. During Online Enrollment, you will be able to upload birth certificate, health asssement, immunization records. These items are required for all new students entering our district.
