PROUD TO BE AN ORIOLE
Augusta High School, Class of 1976
I began working for the school district as the middle school secretary from 1980-85. In 1990 I moved to Winfield, where I was the middle school secretary for 9 years. In December of 1999 I began working at AHS as a high school secretary. An opening came up at the district office for an administrative assistant, so I applied and got that position in 2000. Since 2005, I have been the payroll/benefits coordinator and BOE treasurer for USD 402. I have been at the district office ever since.
I was raised in Augusta. My father, Jim Ashcraft, was the AHS principal for 26 years. I have a strong passion for our school district--I grew up watching the Orioles play every Friday night. I have a lot of good memories that involve USD 402 and the people that work or have worked for this district.
In 1977, I married my high school sweetheart, Larry Williamson. We have been married for 41 years. We have two children, Jayna and Matthew, and one grandson, Jaxon. Jayna graduated from USD 402. Matt went to school here until his sophomore year and later graduated from Fairmont HS in Kansas City, Kan. Jaxon attended Ewalt Elementary and is now at the Middle School, he is the joy of our lives.
It is my goal as the payroll/benefits coordinator to help employees with anything they have concerns with in regards to their pay or benefits. I am here to help them and hope they know I have an open door if they have questions.
